My husband and I planted a garden for ourselves and with the extra produce, we donated about 50lbs of fresh vegetables to our local food pantries so that others in our community could have fresh produce also.

We’ve planted a garden this year and have already canned some things for use over winter and we buy large packages of chicken breast when it goes on sale and cut up the meat to portion size and freeze in the freezer.

In the past year, I’ve substituted whole wheat pasta in place of white pasta, cut down on calories in the drinkable form.
