Lately I’ve noticed quite a few of you wondering why you are not able to find certain coupons. I hope that this post will help to clear up any confusion. 🙂
Printable Coupons
-Almost all printable coupons have a collective print limit. Sometimes that print limit can be reached very quickly (in less than an hour) and sometimes the coupon will stick around for a month or longer. There is really no way of telling when a coupon will reach its print limit, but as a general rule of thumb the better the coupon, the faster it will be gone. Although I would love to be able to always tell you when a coupon is gone, most of the time I do not know until a reader leaves a comment. Like you, I am only human with 24 hours in my day. I can either spend the time that I work on Bargain Blessings bringing you the latest and greatest deals and coupon match-ups or checking and re-checking if coupons are still around after I post them.
-Sometimes coupons are only available under a certain zip code. This happens a lot on coupons.com, so if I do not list a zip code in the deal, try punching in another one in the upper left hand corner. Sometimes I will even to this for fun to see if I can come up with any great hidden coupons.
-Almost all coupons have a per-computer print limit. Most coupons are available to print two times per computer. Sometimes we will see coupons reset, but this does not always happen for 100% of the people who have printed the coupon. If I post that I coupon has or may have reset keep in mind that it may or may not have reset for you personally.
Newspaper Coupons
-Not all newspapers contain the same coupons. Although coupon databases and coupon previews can give us an idea of what might be in our paper, they are not always perfect. Different areas of the country sometimes receive different coupon values and sometimes even different coupons all together. Sometimes coupons from the same paper can even vary within a single state. Another influencing factor is where you get your paper. I have even seen cases where newspaper subscribers will get better coupons that those found in the papers that you can buy from gas stations and grocery stores. I mention this frequently during my couponing classes, but not so often on the website. Bargain Blessings is a national website with readers all over the country. It is simply not possible for me to flip through every insert from every area of the country or even area of my own state to check what coupons are inside. Therefore, I post the coupons that are listed in the coupon database. I understand that it is frustrating when you are expecting a coupon to be in your insert but then you cannot find it, but unfortunately that is just something that we need to expect and deal with as couponers. If you notice that a coupon is different than what I have listed, please leave a comment to let me know. I do try to mark coupons that are regional as “regional” so you know that your insert may or may not contain the same coupon that is listed.
If you notice that a coupon may have reached its print limit or that may be regional, please take a moment to leave a nice comment letting me or the other readers know. As I mentioned above, I am human, so rude comments about coupons that are left on posts that have taken me hours to put together do hurt my feelings and discourage me from wanting to spend my time posting more deals.

Jennie, I am so sorry your efforts have been poorly received by some – it is appalling that individuals would be mean-spirited. As someone who has only been couponing for a few months, I am so grateful for the time you put in to the site, and am particularly helped by the grading system you developed to help me learn what constitutes a good deal and what is just good marketing. May the positive voices of the many drown out the negative voices of the few.
Miranda says
I agree. I LOVE the grading system! It really helps. Keep up the good work.

I think the rude comments come from the frustration of new couponers. Even though people are frustrated to not find a coupon they should not post rude comments. Those of us who have been couponing for awhile SHOULD know that sometimes you do not get certain coupons. I hope NONE of the rude comments are coming from experienced couponers. Experienced couponers should know sometimes we do not get all the coupons we would like. You know the sayin’ “you should not count your chicken before they hatch,” well the same goes for coupons. Jennie is only human and she is doing this FREE couponing website as a service to us couponers. Being rude is not going to get you anything. Please show kindness and respect to Jennie and other couponers.

Jennie,
I have been meaning to thank you for some time for this site, and reading this has finally prompted me to do so. You need to know how truly appreciated you and this blog are! Don’t let those negative people with their rude comments get you down – know that for every one of them, there are many more folks who are beyond appreciative for what you do. I LOVE your site and have told all my friends and family (as well as strangers who see me toting around my coupon binder) all about it. May God bless and encourage you today!

If someone actually leaves a rude comment well they shouldn’t be couponing. This should be fun while saving money and you take the time to give us info along the way.

Hi Jennie! What a perfect post for me at this moment. I just printed 3 different coupons from coupons.com and then tried to go back and print a 2nd time but it wouldn’t go back to the page. Is there a way to get the 2nd copy of that coupon or does that mean those coupons are a 1 time print? Thank you for all the time you spend helping others… you truly are a blessing. I appreciate you!

I couldn’t agree more with what everyone said. Thank you for everything you do in keeping up this website. I’m glad to know why some coupons don’t show up. Like someone else mentioned above, I didn’t know if it was just me or if I was doing something wrong. I really appreciate your hard work. This website truly is a blessing to my family and others I tell about your site. Thanks again!

Jennie,
People can often be cruel, as a business owner myself I know that icky feeling you must have had over the rude comments others must have sent you. I hope these gentler emails will continue to remind you that you are helping so many of God’s children to live within their means as God instructs us. Your service, although it may seem unappreciated, is extrememly necessary to many of us and I am even guilty of taking YOUR work for granted, and not thinking of all the time spent to not only pull all of the information together, but to set it on the blog to share with others. Please don’t allow the ruthless few to mess it up for the rest of us. I am surprised that any of your readers would act in such a way, since this is obviously a Christian site, and as Christians we are held to higher standards. I am honored to have found your site, and as a fellow blogger, I am proud of your work. Keep looking up!

I know just how hard it is to put coupons together with store sale items on my own. That is why I come here, you take the hard work out of it for me. I check your site each day and it has been a tremendous help to me. Thanks so much!

Thanks Jennie! I’ve been telling a lot of people I know about your site! I’ve also found that I have coupons for things (like a brand of cubed ham) but neither Kings stores nor Safeway in Castle Rock carry that item. You truly are a BLESSING in my family’s life! I’m learning how to save my family money and purchase wisely! I’m grateful to have learned this now, rather than 10+ years from now!!
We appreciate all that you do, and understand!

Thank you so much for all you do. I just can’t seem to make my weekly grocery list, without checking YOUR blog first. Keep up the good work!
P.S. Thanks for mentioning that sometimes the coupons are different within a region. Sometimes I feel like I’m losing my mind, when I can’t find a coupon in my Denver Post that you said should be there. Glad to know it’s not me! 🙂
