The 2012 Walmart Black Friday Ad is now available and is filled with a bunch of good deals. You can view a complete scan of the ad by going here and clicking on the red “View Your In-Store Ad”.
There are multiple sections of this year’s Walmart ad to look at. It all starts with “Event 1” at 8:0pm on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. Yep…Black Friday is now Thursday night at Walmart. I’m not too sure how I feel about that. Then you’ve got “Event 2” which starts at 10:00pm on Thursday Night with 3 items included their “1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee”. Lastly, you can get in on “Event 3” that starts at 5:00am on Friday. Sheesh! Talk about complicated! I’m interested to hear what you all think about this new format. 😉

I hate it!!! The Walmart by my house did this last year. If you didn’t participate last year you should also know that stores no longer have these sales in the department you would NORMALLY find them. So it’s really hard to get more than 1 of these deals. I use to go to Walmart and really stock up on toys, electronics, everything. But now you have to stand in a line for the TV in the produce department or kids scooters are in the baking aisle and miss out on other items. And its really hard to find the items you are there for because none of the staff knows where the lines are for the sale items. These are some great deals but last year I couldn’t get the deals and I don’t expect this year will be any different.

I loved Target’s version last year…Black friday deals available ONLINE on Thanksgiving. Then I was able to get the stuff I wanted and still be home to enjoy Thanksgiving, and I didn’t have to go at midnight or 4 am. I hope they do something similar again this year!

With this triple event format, my question is: What are the chances of you actually being able to catch the deals of “Event 2” if you are stuck in line at “Event 1”???… It sounds like people will have to shop in teams on Thursday night, which might make it more crowded than ever… I don’t think I will be at WalMart on Thanksgiving night searching for the best Christmas gifts for women…I think I will have to make other plans…I think it’s just going to be too crowded…
WAHM Shelley… 🙂

Walmart black Friday prices are great but all the stores should stop having their sales earlier! Black FRIDAY should be ON FRIDAY!!! It was so chaotic last yr. People ripped open the taped crates so some of the stuff was gone before it should have been. No lines, just craziness!

Dont like it….Im still cleaning up and having family time
Leslie via the Bargain Blessings Facebook Page says
No stores should open like that! I will not be there, either.
Stacey via the Bargain Blessings Facebook Page says
Don’t like it and won’t be shopping there.

Personally I like the 8:00 idea….clean up dinner, go shopping and go to bed not having to wake up early.

My Walmart has always been open on Thanksgiving.

I think it’s terrible. Think of all those workers who can’t be with their families. Boo.
Stephanie via the Bargain Blessings Facebook Page says
I think it’s horrible. They keep pushing it earlier and earlier. Next thing you know they will start Thanksgiving morning. It’s just sad. No respect for the holiday or their employees.
Evelyn via the Bargain Blessings Facebook Page says
I love midnight openings. Kids are already in bed, so no worries. Taking all morning if needed 😉

I’m still eating dessert at that time!!! lol
