Thanks for all the info Hazel. I definitely want to look into the Authority cat food, as if it like Iams, but cheaper, sounds like a good deal to me. Have you already been to Jennie’s couponing class? I am going in Dec.
Hazel says
You betcha, I went to one back in August. Jennie is a gift from above and pure sunshine. What you will learn there is priceless. A definite life changer for me, ayup yup!
Please make sure you’re voting for Jennie every day π

Oh yeah, the nurses at the vet office I go to swooped in on the Authority deal big time! That’s a huge endorsement in my book.
Robin says
Thanks again Hazel. I have been voting. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you, I was crazy busy this weekend with an arts and crafts show I was doing. I got the Authority on Friday and my cats definitely seem to like it.
Hazel says
Good deal, err, great deal! Take care – get some rest!

As I am very new to couponing and just started gathering my coupons, I don’t have the Tidy Cat from the RP on 9/11. I live in Westminster CO. If any of you couponers don’t have cats, and live up on the North Metro area, might you be willing to give me some of these coupons as I have 2 cats and would love this deal?

Mornin’ Robin –
I’m down in CR so that’s not much help for you. I’m plopping a link from a while back that Jennie posted which is a super sweet deal. I’m going to PetSmart tonight to see if this still plays out. I checked with my vet on the Authority dry and it’s a good cat food. I guess they contract with other companies (like Iams) and produce this cheaper variety.
Here’s the link:

I’ll keep you posted on my trip tonight π
Robin says
Thanks Hazel, yes please keep me posted. And my brain must be a little fried, where is CR?
Jennie says
Castle Rock. π

Robin – there is a site that is similiar to Bargain Blessings but for our 4 legged family members. By signing up you’ll get email alerts on what deals are shakin’ for our furry friends.

That Jennie knows the best spots to go for deals. When I grow up, wait, that ain’t happenin!
Robin says
Thanks Jennie. And thanks Hazel. I will definitely go there and sign up.

Like Jackie Gleason used to say … and away we go.
There are no more tear pads for the canned Authority left – so no free cans. The Authority dry is priced @ 6.99 – regularly @ 7.99. Using the $5.00 off coupons on the 4lb bag is still a purrfect deal – hard to get 4lbs of cat food for $1.99.
Inside the 4lb bag is a coupon for $5.00 any 8lb bag or lager (valid thru 05/31/12)
Friskies cans are on sale for .40 a can. There is a coupon for 1/36 which brings them down to .37 a can. But if you don’t need 36 cans .40 isn’t bad for Friskies. You may want to check out King Soopers because they had 9 Lives canned 5/$2.00 and there were coupons running around. If you’re going to spend .40 a can might as well be at the store that gives the gas rewards, eh?
Whiskas trays – on sale for .50 a tray. If you have the B3/G1 MQ you can get 4 trays for an average of .33 a tray. If you have the B2/G1 MQ they average out to .27 a tray. Seems like fuzzy math but the Castle Rock PetSmart uses a price of .69 instead of .50 for the “free” can so it’s like a .19 bonus on that free one. Not sure if that’s the case at all locations tho.
Of course, you’ll have to use a Pets Perks card.
Good luck – have some fanfurrytastic fun out there!
