I went to 2 different Walgreens last week and both trips had coupons that didn’t seem to want to go through. Fortunately both times, the cashier really wanted them to work for me and continued to try to scan the coupon. After several tries, both cashiers were able to accept the coupons. If you have a nice cashier, ask them to see if they can keep scanning it until their scanner accepts the coupon. It really shouldn’t be this hard!

Tip I learned from my favorite Wags cashier – they have to cover a portion of the bar code with their fingers. So, if they just grab the coupon and scan the BC, it gives the nasty “no way” beep. If they take the coupon and cover a portion (I think it’s the 2nd set of numbers on the right hand side) it goes thru just fine. Cashiers @ Wags have to be like a good guitar player and practice strategic finger placement to get those buggers to go thru without a hitch. I know, seems wack-a-doodle, but, watch your cashiers in the future. The good ones know how to strum a good coupon tune!

Yes I was wondering about that, I have a Walgreen Store coupon for $2 off 1 and it includes the Little Movers, so I should be able to use that with the $3 from today’s SS and they will end up being $1.99! Can that be true??

Well I tried and failed tonight at Walgreens, in more ways than one. The Huggies wouldn’t work, maybe I needed more items to balance my coupon to item ratio, but I thought the Walgreens coupons didn’t count against that. Guess I should read the Walgreens 101 again. 🙂
Anyway, they didn’t have the Crest Complete, and then I realized after the fact that she didn’t ring through my crest coupon for the other crest deal, and the cash register didn’t like the skittles coupon so there were problems with that too. I will try again later this week for the Crest Complete and try the Huggies deal and probably the Gain one as well.

That is a bummer. 🙁 IVC coupons should not count towards your coupon to item ratio so honestly…I’m not too sure what happened with that!

It is a coupon from a Sunday paper insert, but it is for Walgreens only(you know how they do a 2 pg spread), is that considered an IVC or a MC?
