I’m hearing that some stores are now refusing to accept this coupon all together. So you might want to check with a manager when you get to the store before you do a bunch of shopping.
Update #2: Kmart is now reproting that it was a mistake to release this coupon to all areas of the country as it was only intended for New York and Chicago. Therefore, I have pulled down all of the posts that included this coupon in a scenario.
And now a little word to Kmart from me…
Come on Kmart! You always seem to do things like this to us. If you are not going to honor the coupon then don’t put it out! We want to shop at your stores, we really do…but not if you are going to continue to pull stunts like this. I am looking forward to your doubles event and hope that we do not have any trouble with that! 🙂

I went to Brighton store yesterday afternoon to try the deal listed above. They absolutely would not take it (or the $5.00 MQ). They now have a small sign posted at each register saying the $10 off $20 coupon is a fraudalent coupon. I politely declined to purchase the Princess & Frog and doll and told them I would go to Target who had the DVD for $15.99. Unfortunately, Target in Brighton was out so I wasted alot of time and gas yesterday and I am bummed out. Sometimes Kmart can be really aggravating. I have tried to support them so they don't end up closing their doors, but this is an example of why they sometimes lose customers.

I have to say I was super disappointed when I called the Denver Kmart and they said they'd take it over the phone, but then said they couldn't take it in the store, saying it was "fraudulent." It wasn't that great of a deal without the coupon, and I was really disappointed that Kmart did not deliver.

Ohh!! The store off of Broadway in Littleton CO said the coupon wouldn't allow ANY other coupons with it and refused to take the $5 extra one, but the register also didn't want it but the manager approved it.

I got the whole deal at the Brighton, Colo. Kmart. They don't have the shelf displays up, so lots of inventory and the instant savings come off. The manager questioned the $10 coupon b/c their system didn't recognize it, but he honored it. Here are the prices I paid in Brigton.
Princess Doll $10.99
Princess & Frog DVD $19.99
Instant Savings -$10
$10 off $20 purchase coupon -$10
Manu Q for DVD only -$5
$5.98 plus tax!
Now I'm off to buy band-aids at Target to submit for the $5 rebate.

When I called my local Colorado K-Mart, the sales associates said that the coupon is for New York residents only, and should not have been dispersed via the Internet to other states. So that's the explanation they're giving, but then I called another K-Mart that's a little further from my house and they said they'd take it. I want the Princess and the Frog deal, so hopefully they actually will. Wish me luck.
