I mentioned in a post earlier this week that I’ve had a little bit of a beginning of summer slump this year when transitioning g to warm weather recipes. I just have no motivation to fire up the oven and heat up the house especially with the heat we’ve had in Colorado so far this year. Berries and yogurt have been my go-to for breakfasts lately, but there are some days when I’m craving some more “umph” to kick-start my day.
When I first heard that Tyson was getting into the breakfast business I was a little surprised. When I think of Tyson I think of chicken and dinner, so I was rather curious to try out their new Breakfast Bread Bowls. Last week I headed out to Walmart to pick some up. You can check out my Google+ board for the whole story and I’ve included the highlights of my shop in this post.
There were two different variates of Tyson Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches to choose from: Sausage, Egg and Cheese or Egg, Bacon and Cheese. Needless to say, it was a pretty difficult choice. I hemmed and hawed for a few moments.
And the winner is…Sausage, Egg and Cheese! Next I wanted to get some items to go along side of the bowls because after all, a girl does need her fruit and yogurt. 😉
The yogurt section in this store was enormous. I’ve never seen anything like it! Cases and cases with just about every variety and ever favor you could imagine. Go figure that I went with pain ole strawberry greek yogurt. 😉
I also picked up a package of fresh strawberries and was extremely impressed at how fresh they all were. There wasn’t a bad berry in sight and all of the boxes were stuffed full.
The next morning it was really nice to have a pretty quick and easy breakfast that was just about ready to go. The Tyson Breakfast Bread bowls are made in the microwave and of course the strawberries and yogurt required hardly any prep at all.
Overall I really liked the bread bowls; the flavor was great and they were really filling. I also really actually liked eggs inside of the bowl although wasn’t really expecting to. I guess I just wasn’t all that confident at how much Tyson would know about eggs. Sorry Tyson! 🙂 The only thing that I would change I think next time I’ll make just one because two was almost two much for my appetite.
Have are some of your favorite summer breakfast ideas?

Eggzellent!
How do they fare as far as a healthy option? I’m sure you’re burning any baddies at Boot Camp but my routine is more like booty camp out in an office chair, ha!
Will stop by and check them out, many thanks!
