Toys R Us is celebrating Geoffrey’s Birthday this week and to help the rest of us celebrate with them they are having a Buy Two, Get One Free sale on various items throughout the store. All Hasbro and LeapFrog Tag books are included in this B2G1 sale…and it makes for some really nice deals when paired with coupons! Here are two scenarios to get you started:
Scenario 1:
Buy (3) Monopoly and/or Sorry Games for $7.99 each (one will be free with the sale)
-(3) $4 Hasbro Coupons
=$1.33 each!
Scenario 2:
Buy (3) LeapFrog Tag Junior Books $10.99 each (one will be free with the sale)
-(3) $4 Tag Coupons or HERE or MQ (9/19 SS)
=$3.33 each!
*HOT* Update: Do both of these scenairos and use this $5 off $25 coupon (make sure to hand it over first) to get everything for $8.96 total…OR…you can substitue Scenario #3 for Scenario #2 to get everything for .17 each!!!
Scenario 3:
Buy (3) Connect 4 Travel Sized $6.99 (one will be free with the sale)
-(3) $4 Connect 4 Coupons
=.66 each!
Depending on how your store handles Buy One Get One Sales they might question you using three coupons since you are getting one of the products for free. If you have this issue, just be prepared to explain that manufacturer coupons are a form of payment and they will be reimbursed for the value of the coupon just as if you were paying cash. As long as the product is listed on your receipt and scanned through the register, it is still viewed as purchasing the product.

I was just at the Toys R Us at 104th and I-25 (It is a new store open for the holidays coming up), anyway, she didn’t even question the coupons! 3 monopoly games and 3 sorry games for $5.38, tax included!
Jennie says
Yay Jody!;)
eva says
where do you find the $5 off $25 coupon?
Melissa says
I just bought 3 Connect 4 Travel Editions, 2 Sorry games, & 1 Monopoly (all reg editions, no special editions) for $2.05 at the TRU on County Line Rd & I-25 in Englewood. The manager wasn’t sure if my 3rd coupon would work on each free item, but she said try it, and it did! When I left at store closing tonight, there were still about 8 more Connect 4 Travel Editions left (the manager had to get them out of the stock room), plus some of each of the other games, so hopefully a lot of you are able to get in on this great deal! Note the $7.99 sale for Sorry & Monopoly showed up on the “Price Checker” gizmo in the aisle as only good through 9/25/10. Sorry for the long post, but just had to share all I learned during this great “bargain blessing”! 🙂 Oh, and I saved $66.98 while getting this great bargain! 🙂
Jennie says
Awesome Melissa! Thanks for the update! 🙂

Amy – I was at the Park Meadows store
AMY says
Brandi,
Which store did you go to?
Sue says
Thanks, Brandi, for the reminder of the coupons in the USA Weekend. I had seen those and then forgot about them.
Brandi says
OK, ignore my previous post about the 7.99 price being for only one. I looked online and thought more about it and realized that didn’t make sense so I made a call to the store and after talking with several people I found out I should have only been charged 7.99 for 2, third one free. Sorry for the confusion!!
Jennie says
I’m glad you got it fixed Brandi! 🙂
Holli says
Has anyone tried this in Colorado Springs yet? I REALLY want it to work here. 🙂
Samantha says
Holli, I went to the Colorado Springs store by the Citadel today and had problems with them accepting all my coupons. I’ll go back tomorrow and fight a little. Maybe they’ll reimburse me the value of my coupons, hopefully.
Holli says
Samantha,
I’m going to go in today and see what happens as well. I figure even if they only take 2 coupons, then you can get 6 games for around $20. But it sure would be nice if they accepted them all.
Brandi says
I also ran out to get it – my store took all the coupons – $4/each game and $5/$25 but the Sorry/Monopoly games are only 7.99 if you buy one. If you buy the 2, get 1 free the price is 16.99 for 2, 3rd free. the total before tax was 16.98 for 3 games – good for party gifts!!
Samantha says
I ran out to get this deal as soon as I saw this post but ran into some problems. My cashier said that they have a policy of only accepting 1 coupon of each type. So I was only able to use 1 of each of the printables plus 1 each of the MQ newspaper coupons. My total then came to $28. I’m not sure I want to keep them at that price. Bummer…
Brandi says
These coupons are also in this week’s (9/19) Denver Post USA Weekend insert
Sue says
I could only print two of each of these coupons. It said I had printed my limit.
