Dreading having all that extra candy in your house after this weekend?
Dentists offices around the country will be teaming up with The Halloween Candy Buy Back again this year to collect candy for our deployed troops!
How does it work?
Find a participating dentist office in your area and bring them your extra candy. They will actually pay you (yes, pay you!) up to $1 per pound for the candy that you bring in. How cool is that?!? Not only are you saving your kiddo’s teeth, but you are making money and supporting an awesome cause! I’m not sure what could be better! 😉
As always, before heading out I suggest calling ahead to double-check that the dentist is participating.

Every Halloween my son takes all of his chocolate (the candy I am most tempted to steal) and sticks it in a bag in the freezer. After the holiday is over we take the frozen candy out and I let him smash it with a hammer. Those pieces then work perfect in a chocolate chip cookie substituting the chips for the small pieces of Heath, snickers, 3 musketeers…This works well because the cookies can be put in school lunches (handfuls of candy in the school are frowned upon).
