Tax Free Shopping Details by State for 2013!

Select states will once again have tax free shopping dates this summer! Dates and restrictions vary by city, so I’ve included a round-up of the details by location below.

Alabama – August 2-4, 2013 – applies to clothing under $100, school supplies under $50, books under $30 and computer equipment under $750.

Arkansas – August 3-4, 2013 – applies to clothing and school supplies under $100.

Connecticut – August 18-24 2013 – applies to clothing and shoes under $300.

Florida – August 2-4, 2013 – applies to clothing under $75, computers under $750 and back to school supplies under $15.

Georgia – August 9-10, 2013 – applies to school supplies under $20, clothing under $100, and computers under $1,000.

Iowa – August 2-3, 2013 – applies to clothing under $100.

Louisiana- August 2-3, 2013 – purchases under $2,500 excludes taxable services, automobiles and meals.

Maryland- August 11- 17, 2013 – applies to clothing and shoes under $100.

Mississippi – July 26-27, 2013 – applies to clothing and shoes under $100.

Missouri – August 2-4, 2013 – applies to clothing under $100, school supplies under $50, and computer equipment under $3,500.

New Mexico – August 2-4, 2013 – applies to all clothing under $100, school supplies under $30, computers under $1,000, and computer equipment under $500.

North Carolina – August 2-4, 2013 – applies to clothing, and school supplies under $100,instructional material under $300, sports and recreation equipment under $50, and computers under $3,500.

Oklahoma- August 2-4, 2013 – applies to clothing under $100.

South Carolina – August 2-4, 2013 – applies to clothing, accessories, shoes, school supplies, computers, and computer equipment no dollar amount listed. For more info go to http:www.sctax.org.

Texas – August 9-11, 2013 – applies to clothing, backpacks and school supplies under $100.
