Today’s savings tip is a pretty simple one, but it should not be underestimated. Have you ever thought about how your spending habits change depending on the people you surround yourself with?
I find it much easier to go shopping with my friends who are frugal minded than those who spend regardless of the cost. Although I am quite steadfast when it comes to wise spending, I have to admit that when I’m with a friend that is determined to purchase an entire new wardrobe in a single shopping trip, it becomes a lot more tempting to buy that dress, jeans or pair of shoes that I don’t really need.
Of course it is not realistic to stop hanging out with those friends or family members who do not have spending habits that are in line with ours, so that is when planning ahead can really be valuable. Next time you are faced with what could be a tempting situation to spend money that you wouldn’t have otherwise spent, have a plan in mind before you even leave your home. If you are going to a mall or a specific store, take a few coupons along with you. If you will be joining your friend or friends for lunch, take a restaurant coupon along. Who knows, your wise spending might just rub off as your friend sees how much more you are able to get or how much more you are able to save by planning ahead and only buying what you need.

I always have coupons with me, either grocery, restaurant or any kind!! My friends and family always are amazed to see where I get the coupons!! We had a plumber coming out so I went to their website and got a $20 coupon!!! My brother, dad and I went out to a BQ restaurant so I went to the restaurant’s website and got $2 off each plate so that covered the cost of our Root Beer floats!!!
