The above picturea are from Linda. Here is what she was able to score at Safeway last week:
4 Bags of Cheetos
2 Bags of Fritos
1 Bag of Tostitos
6 Pkgs of Rolaids
8 Bottles of Bulls-Eye Bar-b-cue Sauce
1 Bag of sugar (5 lb)
1 Kraft Mayo Sandwich Spread
2 Boxes of BC Fudge Brownie Mix
(Can you guess why only 1 bag of Fritos and 1 Box of Brownie Mix are in pic?) 😉
My receipt shows that I saved 101% !!!! With the sales, coupons and my $10 WAGS RR catalina, I only paid $1.02 for a $75.46 grocery bill!
WhooHoo Linda! Nice Job! I’m just loving to see how awesome you all are doing!
This second picture is from Sharee who also shopped at Safeway. Here her savings story:
So during the buy 8 save $4 promo at Safeway I did two transactions and this is what I got.
My total came to $3.62!!!! Plus I got a $1 catalina so net total of $2.62!! I used a $10 off $50 purchase that my local store sent me as a house warming gift and that’s BEFORE manufacturer’s coupons! Plus I had a lot of e-coupons that made a TON of the items MM which is how I got the milk and cheese free!
You totally rocked those coupons Sharee! Congrats!

I think I figured out the 101% thing! I used Wags RR's to pay at Safeway and only owed 4 cents!! My savings on the receipt were also 101%. I have noticed in the past that the percentage saved is in regard to the total before tax. Because Safeway allows cats to pay for tax, I saved more than the grocery total, therefore 101%!! (yipppeeee!!)

Anon~ Safeway has a new coupon policy and they are now accepting catalina manufacturer coupons (which is what a RR is) from other stores. You can view the post on this here:

I'm confused, can you clarify how Linda used a Wags RR cat to pay at a Safeway????

Anon~ I'm honestly not sure, but that same thing has happened to me before too. I must be something funky in the way the register is counting promotions or something. 🙂

I must be a total dork and can not do math but I have a question about Linda's purchase. How can you save over 100% and still have to pay?
