It’s Tuesday which means that SavingStar has released a new Healthy Offer. Through October 13th you can save 20% on any single purchase of loose lettuce!
This offer can only be used once. Make sure to check back next week for more fresh produce savings!
*If you are a Kroger or King Soopers shopper make sure to take notice of the upcoming SavingStar changes. Starting on October 1, Kroger will transition from an “automatic” (loyalty card) retailer and instead participate as a receipt-scanning retailer. This means that you will redeem SavingStar offers at Kroger stores by submitting a picture of your receipt, instead of linking SavingStar offers to your Kroger or King Soopers card.

Does KS know this? I was there today and the card still rules. Is this ONLY on Star Savings items? Do we check out THEN go to Customer Service to get a rebate? For TWENTY CENTS? (Lettuce is 99 cents at KS this week for card members.) Doesn’t sound like anything I care to do. Tell me how this benefits me?
Sincerely,
L. Smith

Hi Linda~ SavingsStar is a separate savings program. You can learn more about it by clicking the link in the post above. If you do not feel like this deal benefits you then I would recommend moving on to the next one.

HI Linda, I would recommend checking out SavingStar as they regularly offer a full rebate on an item. Even if it’s not something you would normally buy, it’s a great way to either try something different or get free items for donation. Also, if you begin to use SavingsStar you’ll notice that you can’t cash out until you hit $5. So even if you only get $.20 credited for the lettuce, it is helpful as it brings you $.20 closer $5. Plus if you were going to buy lettuce anyway, it’s free money!! It used to be that you had to attach your King Soopers card number to your Savingstar account. Savingstar would automatically credit you for your purchase if you scanned your KS card at checkout. It was easy since it was automatic but it took a long time for the transaction to get credited. I think this new method of scanning the receipt, while more work, will be better in the end. HTH.

Thank you! Yes, this is what Ibotta does and it is one of those things that little by little you increase your rebate. I just didn’t understand that it was like a phone app. I’ll get it into my phone and things will gradually build a credit!
Thanks – I just didn’t quite understand the mechanics of how it worked!
Sincerely,
Linda Smith
