*If you are a Kroger or King Soopers shopper make sure to take notice of the SavingStar changes. Effective October 1, Kroger will transition from an “automatic” (loyalty card) retailer and instead participate as a receipt-scanning retailer. This means that you will redeem SavingStar offers at Kroger stores by submitting a picture of your receipt, instead of linking SavingStar offers to your Kroger or King Soopers card.

Has anybody else had issues with Savingstar? I just signed up for it and tried to redeem for the free baking soda and they refused to credit me. The reason I got was that the offer was not available at the store. Except that I bought it at King Soopers, which is listed as a participating grocery store, my photo met all of their guidelines, and was submitted within the time frame. I contacted their customer service and still haven’t heard back. I’m about ready to unsubscribe from it, and I’m certainly not going to try for another “Friday Freebie” until I am credited for the last one. Anyone got any tips for dealing with them?
