There is a good chance that many of you, like me, are right in the thick of the Christmas busyness. Running here…going there…preparing this…the list goes on and on. 😉 One thing that I’ve learned over the past couple of years is that it is ok to get some help when you need it. After all…the busyness has nothing to do with what we are really celebrating!
I recently had the opportunity to participate in the Sam’s Club Apps in a Snap Challenge. Sam’s Club provided me with a pass to try out their holiday food offerings during their sampling event that I shared with you a few weeks ago. They also gave me a $50 gift card and challenged me to see how far I could make it stretch by purchasing from their wide selection of appetizers.
I was not exactly sure what to expect. I thought that maybe I might be able to get a few small things, but once I got into the store I was pretty impressed.
Check-out everything that I was able to score for $50:
-Spanakopia: Spinach & Feta Phyllo Appetizers 36ct
-Petite Quiche: 30 Broccoli & Cheddar and 30 Swiss Cheese & Bacon (Lorraine)
-Gourmet Appetizer Collection: 12 Four Cheese & Roasted Garlic in Puff Pastry Palmiers, 12 Greek Inspired Chicken & Feta Cheese in Phyllo Cups, 12 Raspberry Brie Cheese in Phyllo Roses, 12 Three Cheese & Sweet Red Pepper in Puff Pastry Rolls
-Mini Handmade Crab Cakes 30ct
-The Cheesecake Factory Pumpkin Cheesecake: 12 Slices
*Hey…who said dessert can’t make a good appetizer. 😉 I tried this during the sampling event and just couldn’t resist.
Yeah…no kidding…that is 186 appetizers for $50! I was originally planning to serve these to my guests before our Thanksgiving meal, but that did not even make a dent in them. It has almost been a month now and I’ve been using these appetizers all throughout the holiday season. It has been such a blessing to have something on hand to serve to guests…even if it is last minute.
Not only was I impressed by how much I could get, but I was also very pleased with how yummy everything was. I’m pretty picky about what I’ll serve to friends and family and these all made the cut! It also helped that there is such a wide variety (the Gourmet Appetizer Collection was one of my favorites), so even the most pickiest of eaters had something to snack on. Overall, I have to say thumbs-up to Sam’s Club for their great selection and prices on their pre-made apps.
Have you tried any of any of the Sam’s Club appetizers yet? If so, what did you think?
