  1. I know a lot of us have questions about what coupons can be used with the Just for U coupons. Here is something that was posted on their Facebook page. It’s not much but it aligns with what I thought I heard before about being able to use manufacturer’s coupons with the ones that state a certain price.

    “Jenn, it depends on whether or not the Just For U coupon is a store or manufacturer coupon. Unfortunately, you cannot combine two manufacturer coupons on a single item. However, you may stack one store coupon and one manufacturer coupon per item. Specific price offers (example: Cheerios for $2.99) are typically store coupons. Manufacturer coupons will typically have an amount off offer (examples: buy two boxes of Cheerios save $1.00; $0.35 off Cheerios). We hope this helps! –Jonathan, Customer Support”

  2. Yes, I’ve been told the same thing about only 3 of each coupon. It was at the store in Littleton on Pierce and Ken Caryl. I didn’t fight it and ended up doing a couple different transactions instead. Still got a bunch of great deals!

  3. Great Deals at Safeway this week. Has anyone ever had the cashier say they only accept 3 of each coupon? Safeway at Quebec and Arapahoe (Denver metro) I asked for her to confirm with manager and she was CLEARLY irritated but just kept scanning my cinnamon toast crunch coupons and they ALL went through. Did I miss a change in their policy?

  4. Heads UP!
    If anyone has those $.50 Carefree coupons from the 7/22 SS and the 7/29 RP, the Carefree Pantiliners small packages are $.99 at Safeway right now! The coupons expire 8/31, so this is the last week to use them!
    U by Kotex liners are also $.99, so the 7/08 SS (exp 9/2) will get you those for FREE too!!!
    I donate these all the time to The Gathering Place (womens’ shelter downtown) – it’s a great tax write off because you can get an additional state deduction for donating there (Denver Enterprise Zone Credit).

      Plus, the Q for the Maruchan Yakisoba … they’re on sale for $.99 so those are also free. I don’t know how long that sale runs though 🙁

  5. International Delight Coffee Creamers are on close out sale in Canon City for $1.34. There is a printable cpn for .55 in the database making them only .34 each after it doubles. There weren’t a whole lot left. Hope you are able to grab some!

  7. Did the Nature Valley bars deals work using the NV PROTEIN $.50/1 coupons? The NV Protein bars are not part of the $1.49 sales so I didn’t attempt it. Wondering if the machine beeped on using the NV PROTEIN coupon when buying regular NV bars. Thanks!

  8. I went to safeway this morning and had all my coupons ready to go…..what a disaster!

    The cleark told me that Safeway is no longer accepting printed coupons and so a bunch of the deals listed above, they would not accept the coupons I had. I also had all my U Save digital coupons loaded and they didn’t take those either. I ended up at the customer service desk for an additional 15 minutes. They ended up accepting the printed coupons since the policy I had says nothing about that and then had to manually take off off the digital coupons that I had loaded that the system didn’t take off.

    What a good reminder why I (and you should if you don’t) pay really close attention when you are checking out. I also watched the clerk pick up 3 coupons and scan only one of them. I ended up getting $15 back and an apology from customer service.

  9. Does anyone know if more than one catalina will print at one transaction? If I buy 10 boxes of Nature Valley, will I get two $5 catalinas???

    • Usually the deal is 5 or more will get only a $3 catalina. It is best to buy 5 at a time and roll your $3 into the next set of 5.

  10. On the flyer – it says that you’ll get a .30 per gallon reward / 300 gas reward points when you spend $75.00 or more on groceries in a single transaction. Gift Cards are getting 4x gas reward points thru September 8th.

    I rely on my gas points so this is literally a gas!

  11. Gerber Items on reduced to sell prices @ Castle Pines location, could be at your store, too. They also have a few items back in the clearance cave @ 50% off.

    Over on couponnetwork dot com, there are quite a few Gerber Qs, also specs on a Gerber catalina that’s running

    There are quite a few items at cut prices in with the normal Gerber stuff. I don’t know if they are good prices and if the catalina generates off of close-out prices but it’s worth a look-see 🙂

    I plopped this comment under King Soopers, too. They also had quite a few items on close out prices in with the regular Gerber items.

  12. Yesterday I bought 8 boxes of cereal using the scenario above and getting them for $.49 box. Then a $2/5 catalina wyb 5 general mills cereals printed. So I went back for more and stacking those with the .50 & .60/1 coupons that double I was able to buy 5 boxes of cereal for $.60 total oop including tax, AND the cat printed again, so of course…I went back for more!

    The second time I tried the deal I was really running behind and in a hurry to leave and I forgot the 5th box so the clerk (who is also the manager,) rang one box twice, so I could run back for it when we were done. We get to that catalina and the register beeps and refuses the cat, stating ‘too many coupons.’ The manager did an over-ride and let me have it, but said she couldn’t do it again if I came back through.

    Now this part was confusing to me because I’m not sure what happened. She said it didn’t stop her the 1st time and just shrugged but I remember it beeping and her pressing some buttons. I had used the exact same coupons so I don’t know if it’s the amount of coupons I used being tracked on my club card, or possibly the cereal she rang up twice, or if we missed something on the cat and she really did accept it the first time and didn’t remember, but just I thought I’d give you all a heads up to watch for it and see what you can do!

    • Well, you did use too many coupons. The $2/5 GM catalina is a manufacturer coupon good on 5 boxes of cereal and cannot be combined with any other manufacturer coupons for the same items. Unfortunately, the manager at that store must not have read the fine print, or she would not have allowed that coupon to go through. For this deal, you would either use the $2/5 cat ONLY or the other 5 coupons that are for one box each.

      • OMGosh, boy do I feel like a newbie now! Apparently I’m still not ready to be out and running around. I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for a long time now and thought I was doing better, but I guess not! I’m surprised she ran them for me! Well I already gave a few to family and friends and will be donating more than half of it to our local shelter so it all ends well. I’m sorry it won’t work for anyone else though! Here I was all excited because I finally got to share this great deal I found. *sigh* back to my blankie and tissues…..

  13. There is also a Welch’s Grape Juice ad-in coupon for $1.99 each. Pair the 64oz. with the $.75 coupon from 6/24 RP makes them only $.99 each. Limit 3.

  14. There is a $.25 coupon for the Heinz ketchup in 8/19 SS that would double to $.50. I have had success using the Just for U coupons with MFs coupons. Would make the ketchup $1.00
