Safeway has a few interesting promotions running this week including a Buy 3, Get One Free Cheese sale and a Buy 5, Save $5 Cereal Sale. Unfortunately, none of the prices of these products are listed in the ad, so we will have to wait to see how good the deals are!
Safeway has their gas rewards program to compete with Kroger stores. Check out my post on the King Soopers fuel rewards program for details.

My Safeway had blinkie with .75/2 Shredded Wheat. The .70/1 is only good for the fruit filled. 🙁
Miranda says
YUM! I love the fruit filled. They are my favorit!

Has anyone else had issues using printed coupons? I went to Safeway and Target yesterday and had ALL of my coupons printed from coupons.com rejected. They said if they won’t scan, they can’t accept them. I have a good quality printer, no issues with ink running out, and the coupons look fine. So what gives?
Edna Lee says
Tina,
I have not had any problems with any of my printed coupons so far. I know last week Target was having a problem with regular manufacturers coupons becuase the cashier was happy that he did not have any problems with any of mine.

I’ve had so much trouble at various stores here (Target, King Soopers, Safeway, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Walgreens, etc.) when I was using my brand new laser printer on greyscale. Once I gave up any hope of saving unicorn blood (aka laser toner/ink jet ink) and started printing in the much more expensive color format, wow, everybody goes above and beyond to take my coupons now, even if they don’t scan!
After an especially traumatic shopping trip, I was about to throw in the towel and have a nervous breakdown, we got a great Brother laser printer a couple weeks ago at Staples when they were on sale and I combined it with an addtl 20% off on item coupon for about $170 including taxes. It works great! Beautiful prints, not quite photo quality, but good enough if I wanted to create a professional business brochure! Crisp, clean lines. No smears or ink jet fuzziness. The toner is more expensive to replace, but instead of the average 200-300 pages per ink jet cartridge, a laser toner cartridge can get 2000-5000 pages! I love my Brother 3070-CW!!! I can even print wirelessly without some nightmarish connectivity setup process…easy as pie!!!

Just so you know, the Red Baron coupon says “no doubling”. Frigo also had some .50 cents/1 coupons in the 5/1 SS. I’ve already used mine, but someone else might want to double check the expiry date (thought it was 7/31).
Mommy Kane says
Thanks Andrea, looks like some good deals with the cereal if you have some good coupons to go with.
Also I wanted to add the coupon for the Horizon milk is void in CO and a few other states. ;( I wish they didn’t have to do that, but because of our dairy laws I guess they can’t have coupons on milk here. I have to buy lactose free milk for both my kids so the coupons used to help so much, however Horizon makes a lactose free milk I think and if it is in the sale $2.49 is still a great deal! It is so expensive. 🙂
Thanks for the info ladies!!

At the safeway by me, the fruit snacks are .99, the captain crunch is 1.49, the life cereal is 1.49, honey bunches of oats and frosted mini wheats with fruit in the middle is 1.99. These are all items that I bought today that I had coupons for. These are the prices after you buy 5 and get $5 off
Miranda says
Thank you for posting this info. I love the Mini Wheats with fruit in the middle and it dosn’t go on sale very often so I think I’m going to have to make a trip.
