Jennifer says
There are more of the Hillshire coupons on the Walmart Coupon site yay!
Danielle says
I think that’s a really good price for fresh Copper River Salmon! Last year I couldn’t find it for less than $25 a pound (so we did without).
Danielle says
The Real California Milk coupon says DO NOT DOUBLE at the top.
Sarah says
It does, but the bar code starts with a 5 so if your grocery store normally doubles coupons, it will still double anyway.
Jennifer says
As long as the bar code starts with a 5 it will still double.
Andrea W. says
That’s why I don’t like shopping at Safeway….there never seems to be anyone around to help and (at mine at least), there is only ever 1 or 2 lanes open with 6-8 people in each line.
AMY says
This is the same at the one I go to and the checkers always seem grumpy, frazzled, stressed, probably because they hate that they are so short staffed. King Soopers on the other hand almost always has all the lanes open and the managers jump on a register to check out a few people when the lines get long. It wouldn’t surprise me if Safeways are not around much longer. They are overpriced. I only go there to get the “A” deals and I buy nothing else. There aren’t usually many shoppers, as compared to King Soopers.
Hazel says
I hear ya, Safeway is one of those necessary evilles at times. It’s a shame, too, that store @ Castle Pines is big and bright, always clean. Course that makes sense since no one really wants to go there 🙁
The one in CR has gotten so ornery in accepting coupons I haven’t been there in ages.
Jennifer says
Thankful my Safeway is awesome!
Sharon says
I was just thinking that my Safeway is always wonderful! It’s smaller and older, but the staff is top notch! I’ve only had one Grumpy Coupon Nazi so far. Most of the checkers are so very helpful and friendly!
Hazel says
Buddig packets are @ $.59, yesterday they were @ .79, they’re normally $.99
$0.75/4 Buddig Original, exp. 7/31/12 (SS 04/22/12 R)
Brings these down to $.34 a packet
However, I was at the Castle Pines store and there was no register person so I’ll have to go back.
Pardon me for a moment –
Normally I like ringing the little bell on the counter. As a child I watched a lot of Hee Haw. Ringing the bell makes me think someone is going to pop up from behind the belt and say “Empty Arms Hotel” so yes, I enjoy ringing the bell. I wait 2 minutes, no one pops up.
I ring the bell again. No one comes. I wait 2 more minutes. I ring the bell a 3rd time. No one. I walk to the produce dept and start checking every aisle from one end of the store to the other. Can’t see anyone working. I walk back near the register, no one. I do another trek from the produce dept to the bakery. No one. I go back and assume my position at the register. Finally, a stocker sees me. He comes and pages someone to come up to the register. No one comes. After a few minutes he sees I’m still standing there and pages again. No one comes. I put the meat back in the cart and returned it to it’s shelf and left. (heavy sigh)
Okay, I’m better now 🙂
Mommy Kane says
Oh my goodness Hazel. That is awful! I can’t imagine finding a great deal, but not being able to get it because there was no checker! How crazy. It must have been a sign, Better things to come. Like Chocolate! 🙂
Hazel says
I just called Corporate, was super polite. Alas, no chocolate!
It’s funny when you’re saying “I was waiting for someone to check me out”, like I had gone into my 70’s trunk and was wearing a tube top or something. So I rephrased it to “Ring me up”. Yeah, that sounded better.
Mommy Kane says
Oh too funny, I wouldn’t have figured that one out until I already said it!
