I’m not overly impressed with Safeway’s deals this week. There are a few good finds, but the holiday weeks always tend to be a little slow. Please let me know in the comments section if you come across any deals that I missed!

I printed 2 $.75/1 coupons through Oscar Mayer’s FB page, which would make the per package price closer to $.30.

If you can find the Kelloggs Frosted Flakes with the Cars promotion you can get a $5 gas card (visa) back by mail when you buy four. That would definitely sweeten the deal! And who doesn’t love Frosted Flakes?

What would an A price be for ground beef now? I have it seen it this low in a while. I keep all my receipts and the last time it was 99c/lb was January 2010 (that’s over a year ago!…so I don’t see it going that low again with food prices increasing so rapidly).

I bought 93/7 ground beef from King Soopers a few weeks ago for $1.79/lb. I matched it with one of their catalinas $3 off 10 lbs from meat department. After the coupon it only cost me $1.49/lb.

We buy a half a cow and the meat lasts about a year for a family of 4 (we are only a family of 3) the meat was very inexpensive when you think about all the steaks, hamburger meat, and all the other meat you get.

Where do you buy the half cow from? And if you don’t mind me asking..how much does that cost? My Mom has a source in Utah, but I don’t know of anyone here in CO.

My husband works with a guy that raises cows and pigs for eat. We got a half a pig and it was awesome also! The cow cost us about 750. 500 for the cow and 250 for processing. I think he is out of cows for the year, but I can give you his number to see for sure. I know he will have pigs ready sometime in July.

On the back of the ad there is another Friday only section with a 3lb bag of Jennie-O Turkey burgers for $5 or a 2.5lb bag of Butcher’s Cut 73% Lean Ground Beef Patties for $5. We just ran out of both and I’m wondering if this is a good price? Does anyone have suggestions on a good stock-up price for frozen turkery burgers and hamburgers?
