With the coupon doubling at CO Safeway, the 14 oz Cheerios are .99 per box. Also, not sure what I did to get this, but a cat printed for me that is 1 box of Nature Valley granola bars for free. Oh, and, kinda funny, I almost never go to Safeway so hadn't used my reusable bags in a while, but did this time and found a $3 pacifier I thought was lost!
Kristin says
Are the Pillsbury deals working out with the coupons and $3 instant savings?
So you save the $3 right then on that transaction, not a catalina?
So you don't have to do multiple transactions…it will just keep taking off the $3 every time you buy 3?
I still have the save $1/2 from the Shrek coupon book, so I was going to use those as well.
Jenn S. says
The coupon for the Chef Boyardee came up as no longer available – fyi.
Jeanine Eckert says
I think the Go Gurt is $2 in the ad, not $1, unfortunately.

I went to get the Wacky Mac and the register beeped at the second coupon too. The hit a button and scanned the coupon again, this time it price adjusted the second coupon.
Heather says
When I went in on Monday to get some more Wacky Mac the register beeped at my second coupon for it and the cashier would not take it so I think that the registers may be programmed to only take one coupon for the BOGO items. In any case we usually know which are BOGO and if that is their new policy we should abide by it. I do plan on writing Safeway corporate as Jenni suggested to let them know how disappointed I am with it.

Very interesting about the new coupon policy…I went there today and used several $ off MQs on BOGO items without any issue. I, too, wonder about how well informed the cashiers will be about the policy and how they'll remember ALL of the BOGO items that are on sale each week…

I found out about their new coupon policy last week. I went to buy the Hershey bars and the cashier would not let me use them cause I would be getting them for free. I asked that she call over a manager. I was asked what I was expecting to pay. I told them nothing. He laughed at me, and told me the best he could do was half off.
Megan says
Hmm, the new coupon policy is quite dumb. Frankly I can't imagine the cashiers will know about it, or even all the items that are BOGO, so I don't see how it will be enforced. Maybe one of those things that will blow over as corporate policies sometimes do…
As far as charging tax on a free item, is that even legal?
