Frozen
Safeway is continuing this year’s Frozen Food Promotion this week.. This year, when we spend $10 on participating Frozen Food products (there are over 200), we will receive a Catalina coupon for $5 off the purchase of any “New” Freezer Section products. Don’t forget that it is ok to use to combine Manufacturer and Store coupons with this promotion. Your total will only need to be over $10 after all store coupons and sales are deducted.
This promotion will run through March 31st and you’ll need to keep in mind that all of your items much be purchased in a single transaction to earn the $5 Catalina coupon. The ad does not specify a limit on the number of rewards you can earn in a single transaction.

My Safeway had the Maruchan (sp?) Yakisoba on sale for $1. With the .50/1 coupon in SmartSource (think it was 3/11) they are FREE! Not sure how long the sale is for, forgot to look at the tag 🙁

Stouffers frozen single entrees “farmers harvest” steam meals are 2.50 sale. We have a MQ for $1 off 1, making them 1.50 each. PLUS every $10 in frozen foods (I’ve realized it’s before coupons to be added to the $10) you get $5 on your next shopping order. So if you buy 4, you pay after coupons $6 plus you get $5 back, it’s like paying $1 for all 4 meals!!!! Great buy

My store in Montrose had lots of Crayola items marked 50% off, that coupled with the Crayola printables that Jennie had a link to for the Target deal made for some good deals! I got Color Explosion, Window Crayons, 10pk markers, and (2) boxes of 20 piece colored chalk for $6.75.

Here is a good deal I did today: Buy 2 Jennie-O turkey burgers 3 lb frozen bags for $10.99. They are BOGOF. Use 2 $2/1 coupons (found at coupons.com) and pay $7 total. You’ll get a $5 cat coupon for NEW frozen food items also. I did this today! I know, I shouldn’t be allowed to use 2 $2 coupons on a BOGOF but my Safeway (in Colorado Springs) always allows it.

The $2/$10 Lucerne coupon should be good on the $5 Friday 32-oz chunk cheese making them only $4 ea. Cheese is easy to shred and freeze for future use.

The ocean spray fruit snacks are on sale 0.99 wyb4 and there are 0.50/1 coupons making them FREE. But this is only good til Sat the 24th. I went to Safeway Monday to take advantage of this sale and was surprised that they actually paid me in cash the overage because that was all I bought. I bought 8 boxes and they paid me 0.08 I was excited 😀

My son also loves the Betty Crocker fruit snacks. I tried one of these before I gave them to him, because he is still teething and I wanted to make sure they were soft like the others, and they are really good too. He can’t get enough of them. I know I am going to have a hard time keeping them stocked up in my house 🙂
P.S. Also the Betty Crocker fruit snacks are part of the 0.99 deal wyb4 so you can get them 0.49 after the 0.50/2 coupon 🙂

So I have 6 of the 50/1 coupons for the Ocean Spray and I get confused with these types of sales. Looking at the shelf tag from another blog it says “Buy 4 save $4 and below that it has the price $.99 Mix & Match” Does this mean I have to buy only 4 at a time? Or Christina, did you buy your 8 all in one transaction? I’m sending my husband out to get these tomorrow and if anything gets funky at the register I know I’ll never hear the end of it. Should I tell him to do two transactions???

Nichole~ I’m pretty sure that you will need to buy them in quantities of four for this deal, but with that said you also should be able to buy eight at a time and still get the extra savings. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to buy eight and not six since the tag says “Buy 4” and not “Buy 4 or more”. I hope that helps. 😉

I am 98% sure the sign said buy 2 at $1.49 each or buy 4 or more at .99 each. So I am pretty sure you should be able to do six in one transaction. Like Jennie said tho, if you do two transactions you would hand to buy four in each to get the .99 price. Good luck!

We bought 2 Stouffer’s SW Chicken and 2 Stouffer’s Shrimp meals for one. Used 4 $1/1 (SS 3/18/12) and Safeway $5 new frozen food catalina. Paid $1 OOP and received another $5 new frozen food catalina!

Joan, I know EXACTLY how you feel. To get the catalina you have to spend $10 retail or sales amount but you can then use coupons to lower the amount you actually spend. Starting from scratch, I bought 4 boxes of Eggos at $2.50 each = $10 (this triggers the $5 catalina), used $0.50/2 coupons, double to $1/2 so I paid $8 out of pocket. I then bought 2 – Red Baron pizza and sides for $5 each = $10 (this triggered the $5 catalina), I used the $5 catalina from the Eggos, so I only had to pay $5. That’s when I bought the 4 – Stouffers at $2.50 each = $10, used 4 – $1/1 (SS 3/18/12) and the $5 catalina from the pizza and my total was $1 for the 4 Stouffer’s. Hope this helps!

I’m pretty sure they were $2.50 each. I was pretty excited because I’ve had a difficult time finding the “over 200 new item” tags in our Safeway. We weren’t too interested in ice cream, Eggos, and pizza, so we had a bunch of the coupons that were expiring and nothing to spend them on. So if you find any other “new items”, please let me know!!!

There were tear pads at Soopers a few weeks back for .75/1 – not sure if those will double – it doesn’t say DND but there’s neither a 5 nor a 9 by the bar code.

When I first looked at the coupon I also thought it was off one, but the ones in GJ say 0.75/2 starkist tuna, but you can go to facebook Friday morning and print a 0.50/1 from their page 🙂
If I remember right they were on sale last week for 1.59 and I remember thinking it wasn’t that great of a sale like 0.20 off or so. So, if they are 1.79 you can pick up 2 tunas for $0.79 estimated 🙂 HTH I have been buying a lot of tuna since Starkists Tuna pouch Friday coupons.
