  1. If any one has a baby the Safeway in Washington and Thornton parkway have the similac bottles on clearance for bout $4 and there is a coupon out for $2 off any similac bringing it to $2 ish a bottle

  4. I agree Andrea I went there once and the cashier was the coupon nazi, I only had 2 coupons and she had to ok them with the manager, this is the only Safeway around that the cashiers are scared.

  5. I have called corporate several times on the Safeway at 104th and Federal. The staff is always rude, and very unfriendly towards couponers. It’s the closest one to me, but I hate going there!!!

  6. There is a catalina printing through 10/30 for the Nature Valley granola bars. So when you use the 60/1 or 75/1 coupons they end up being .27 a box when you factor in the $2 catalina you get.

  7. Thanks for the heads up on the Starbucks catalina. I did two different transactions and got two of the catalinas for a free drink at Starbucks. I also bought 4 things of Skippy peanut butter they were on sale I had coupons and then I got back two $1.00 off your next purchase catalinas. I did buy the Natural Skippy. The cashier I had at 120th was awesome no issues at all. I had a great day at Safeway !

  8. My Safeway cashier rings up the coupons, but the coupons frequently don’t take. Even some Safeway coupons don’t ring up at the correct cost. I feel like I have to watch like a hawk. Stores in my area are frequently understaffed with actual cashiers (especially the ones with the self-check lanes), and I hate being “that lady”, the one holding up the line! Is that just my store, all stores, or is anyone else having that same issue at Safeway?

    • I totally understand about not wanting to be *that* lady holding up the line while at the same time wanting to be sure I get the deal!

      I’m in Fort Collins and I drive out of my way to go to the Safeway farthest from me because they seem to have the best trained staff. The store closest to me seems to be understaffed, understocked and not very coupon-friendly. I have even had coupons refused there that the other store then accepted later that day!

      As for not ringing up at the correct cost, I thought I was having that issue too until I sat down and analyzed receipts. The Safeway receipts read a little like Greek to me.

      I personally prefer King’s (especially since I have a brand spankin’ new KS Marketplace right by my house!) because I never have coupon issues there and their receipts make sense, but I’ll definitely drive to Safeway to get me some freebies!

  13. Thank you for all your help! I love following Bargain Blessings. Also, I was looking through it tonight, and I noticed that the C and H sugar coupon is for 0.50 off, at my Safeway they will double this coupon which means it will only be 1.50 for the bag. That seems like a pretty good deal.
