If you have a cat, check out the treats. I found $.55 off one bag of Temptations Cat Treats on the treats. They were on sale so it would make each bag only $.50.

10-4 Kim, thanks much for the heads up 🙂

I haven’t Leah. But, I’m usually dealing with the same register person (I kinda plan it that way) so that might make a difference?

Is anyone else having problems with Safeways now limiting coupons to 3 like coupons per transaction? The stores claim it is the Safeway policy but it is not stated in the policy. For some of the deals it doesn’t matter because coupon is off two items but for the single coupons my store won’t let me use four at one time. I have heard that some Safeways are not limiting but other Safeways are really cracking down on the 3 coupon policy. This is really frustrating because it really limits you on some of the deals especially the Just for U coupons you load on your card. I have been shopping at Safeway alot less because of the new limitations. I wondered if others were also having the same problem.

I have not had any trouble recently Leah. Have you tried contacting corporate yet? They are not as helpful as King Soopers’ corporate, but they may still be able to help.
Leah Frank says
I will definitely give it a try. You would think they would be more helpful since I was told by the manager that they have had to close some of the their stores because there was not enough business. Since they are competing with King Soopers along with other stores that they would want as much business as they could get. I will give corporate a call tomorrow. Thank you for the response and suggestion.

I seriously wonder how the Castle Pines Safeway stays in business. I had my KS friend with me Sunday and she was floored by how few people there were in there.
Leah Frank says
I know what you mean. I have two Safeway close to me and one King Soopers. The Safeway that is really close to my house is busier then the other one but always has 1/2 the business of my King Soopers. Safeway only has two to three lanes open on any given day. My King Soopers always has double that or even more when they are really busy. I have also found that when King Soopers starts getting long lines they open up extra registers. However, Safeway almost never opens up additional registers so the lines can get long. I have seen several people leave their carts because they don’t feel like waiting in line.
Hazel says
It’s sad, isn’t it? The CP store is always beautiful, bright and clean. But, I guess that happens when so few people hit that store. LOL, my house would be spiffy, too, if no one was ever in it 🙂

I couldn’t agree with you more! 🙂

I go to the Safeway in Thornton on 120th/Colo blvd. They are very happy to get my business and are SUPER coupon friendly! I love them. A little outta my way but I go there instead of the one that’s two blocks from my house:)
Hazel says
Leah, are you on Facebook? If so, check this out … it’s a hoot and a half!

Yeehaw! It gets a little fast and furious but there is a whole lot of sharing going on. It’ll be fun to have you there 🙂

Tell your friends, too … the more the merrier. One thing is that there are other people that have to watch their foods like you do. Great forum for sharing tips and bargains / sales on those types of items.
