If you’re a big fan of Redbox Movies, you may want to consider signing up for their Text Club. Every day during the month of April they will be giving away 52 free rental codes to one of their Text Club members. To join just text CHEER to 727272. They will then send you two texts in response and you’ll need to reply Y to continue receiving their texts.
When you sign up for the Red Box Text Club you’ll start receiving up to two messages per week about other freebies and deals. If you want to stop receiving the texts at any time you can reply with the word STOP. Also, if you want to enter this giveaway, but do not want to join their Text Club, you can do so by entering your information to the Redbox Giveaway page.

At first thought, this promotion seems great, but if the codes are only good for a night each, I wouldn’t be surprised if the winner ended up with a bunch of late fees. That was my biggest problem when I used to go to Redbox and the charges added up fast. I much prefer having a set monthly subscription cost that I can count on and work into my budget. That’s exactly what I have now with the Blockbuster @Home service that my employer, DISH released a few months ago. For substantially less than I was feeding those kiosks, not only do I get movies and video games by mail, I also get streaming, and a bunch of movie channels. It’s really rounded out my entertainment options nicely.
