I’ve been a fan of Eggnog since I was very young. It’s one of those holiday traditions that I look forward to every year. I used think that some of the store brands of Eggnog were pretty good – but that was before I started making my own. Trust me – you have not tried true eggnog until you’ve given this recipe a try!
You may even have all of the required ingredients in your home already, so no need to run out to the store when you want to whip up your friends and family a very special treat this season!

I hope it doesn’t give me a stomach ache like the store bought does.

Use Lactose Free Milk.
I was the same until I started using Lactose Free Milk. Now I can enjoy eggnog again.
I made my batch last night. It has been in the fridge overnight so I can have some tonight. I will make another batch on Saturday for New Years.

I wish I could tell you Dana, but I don’t have the slightest idea…sorry.

When Mom made eggnog, she always added cherry brandy. Absolutely the best especially when it was cold outside.

How long does last in the fridge and how much does this yield? I’m making this recipe for gifts and I need to know that I’ll have enough and that it will still be good when I give it to my friends.
