I’ve received quite a few requests lately from those of you readers that are looking for deals on flowers and plants this summer, so I’m excited to share this deal tip from reader Dawn that comes at a perfect time!
Lowe’s garden center stores have great markdowns on some of their plants. Some stores have “clearance areas” in the back….got a $35 beautiful planter with assorted flowers for only $6…another one purchased for $4 (was $25). Absolutely love cheap plants!! 🙂

I always buy my plants from the clearance section at Lowes. Sometimes they are definitely a little sad looking, but always perk up quickly. Sometimes they look just perfect. Our Colorado winters always seem to take some of my perennials, so it’s nice to be able to replace them at a reasonable price.
