Wow! Michaels has a lot of great things going on! Today only (Friday, February 17th) they are celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day! They are giving away more than $100,000 in gift cards at its 1,060+ stores!
I am not sure exactly how the gift cards will be given out, but here is a little more about it:
Every Michael’s location in America will be participating with the hopes that the recipients will return the act of kindness be either donating their card to a school or church or perhaps purchasing materials to make something special for someone.
There is also a 50% off Michael’s coupon valid on one regular priced item through 2/18/12, so make sure to take it in with you!
Also when you are there, ask about the new Michaels Rewards Program! They are starting a new program with the following benefits:

Your rewards will add up every time you use your membership card, and redeeming rewards will be easy because they are automatically loaded onto your card.

I received a random act of kindness card for waiting for 15 minutes for the cashier to return merchandise for the person in front of me. It was a $5 gift card to Michaels.

Cool! Does the new rewards program apply to those who already have rewards cards? I have one, but it’s always seemed pointless because I never got points or credit for the (way to much) that I’ve spent at Michaels.
