Melissa asked a great quesiton on this week’s King Soopers Deals post:
Hi there – Does anyone ever purchase coupons? I get 2 copies of the Post but would really like to stock up on the I Can’t Believe it’s not Butter – I found the Coupon Clippers website but they don’t offer our same coupon? Any advice? Thanks.
What are your favorite coupon clipping websites?

i also use couponsthingsbydede when i need a variety of coupons. if i’m just looking for many of the same ones, i go to ebay. but if i need a variety and dede has them all, i always use her! fast shipping and great prices.

Seems to come around a few times a year (coupons with sale prices). If you use these items a lot, I would buy a few months supply.

My fave is couponsthingsbydede.com because she is close “(texas) and coupons arrive QUICK, plus her price is usually better by a penny or two!
I use ebay too

I have used coupon clippers and they have been great! They have them to my house in 3-4 days at the most..

I LOVE to use Ebay to order coupons. I usually find what I’m looking for, and the prices aren’t too bad. The seller is always wanting “5 STARS” so they usually ship pretty quick.
I have also used http://www.mycouponhunter.com. She seems to take a little longer than I’d like, but she does have great prices

I’ve used https://www.mycouponhunter.com a few times and like her service alot. Once you sign up with her, she sends out email alerts when she has the latest inserts so you can try and get first pick.

Ebay has a bunch of rotel coupons right now…

Thanks Heather. It’s much appreciated. Here’s a silly question. I always see people talking about “moneymakers”. Let’s say I have a coupon for .25/1 Rotel. If it is $0.42 per can and my coupon doubles. That means that the total would be negative $0.18. Would they give me that $0.18? If I bought 10 of them and was owed $1.80, and bought a different product for $1.80, would it be free?
Thanks

Kayla,
Generally stores will not pay you the money back, I usually make sure I have something in my order that is at least the price of the overage amount. So basically yes, if you bought 10 Rotels and were owed $0.80 (there is an $.08 coupon overage per can) and had something else in your order valued at $.80 it would be free. But you still have to pay tax on the pre-coupon price of everything in your order.
My Walgreens will adjust the amount of the coupon down so you can’t get an overage, but I have never had a grocery store do this.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Holli! That’s great to know.

I’m having trouble figuring out at what point it’s not worth it to bid on the coupons. Do Rotel and Hunts often have these coupons, or was this a rarity?
Kayla and Brandon Hopper says
Well I’m new to this, but I ordered some Hunt’s coupons from ManufacturesCoupons and they arrived on Monday after I’d ordered them the previous Monday. I still got to take advantage of the sale. Yesterday I ordered some off of CouponsThingsByDede. They seemed to have a good selection.
While we’re at it, I have a few related questions. I have about 30 copies of the 1/30 SS, but mine don’t have some coupons, like the toothpaste, that is listed. Is this normal? What other ways do you guys use to stock up on coupons? I really wanted to take advantage of the Rotel, but can’t find them at a service.
JoAnn says
#1 With the 1/30SS issues it is normal, some coupons are regional. Sometimes there will be coupons in the paper during the week that will be dated for the prior Sunday. If you happen to cross those coupon sets it will have a different layout then the Sunday’s issue but will have coupons that are the same and different.
#2 If you want to take advantage of the Rotel deal Safeway has a coupon booklet called “the Joy of Football”. The coupon is $1 off of 4 cans. I know it is not as great as the Sunday coupon but it only ends up being 17cents a can. If you buy coupons online for the Rotel deal factor the cost of the service into your end price. It might be cheaper to go to Safeway and get some booklets in the end.
Question for you: Where did you get 30 copies from?
