I’ve had a blast working with 9News reporter TaRhonda Thomas during the past couple of months on a story about practical (not extreme) couponing! It was a lot of fun to be able to take her through the couponing ropes starting with a couponing class right through a shopping trip at King Soopers.
If couponing is all new to you and you’d like to learn more about how you can cut your grocery budget by 50% or more, make sure to check out our upcoming Savings Nation Grocery Savings workshops in Colorado. The workshops are sponsored by King Soopers and during them I will teach you how shopping strategically, meal planning and couponing realistically can help you to save a ton of money at the grocery store.
For those of you that are current readers, if you missed the segment this morning, you can view it on the 9News website.

So I had no idea you worked full time along with doing Bargain Blessings. That just makes me even more grateful that you do what you do for us to save money even though you could easily feel overloaded after your 9 to 5. You (and Julie) are amazing! Thanks for gathering all these deals for the rest of us.

Love it!!! Way to go girl!!! Question, what do you have on your ipad that you are referring to? Just curious, as it seems like that might save a lot of time…whatever it is you’re doing on it 🙂
Thanks! Love all that you do!

Sounds like a blast. It’s one thing to hear it and read it, but when you can actually take someone to a store and show them that it’s real. Did TaRhonda get a serious case of the giggles when she was able to nab some freebies? Sounds like so much fun!
When I showed my CFF I remember her eyes kinda sorta shooting mini daggers at me as her total crept higher. When the coupons started popping off and her total came down to zero, it was like she didn’t even want to grin or smile. You know that weird feeling you get like someone is going to come along and bust you, but you’re doing nothing wrong? She wanted to laugh but didn’t want to draw attention to herself.
I always think the “bubble people” that sit in the ceilings and watch people are going to just swoop down or something. Okay, I know there aren’t people in those camera bubbles. (or are there?)

You know the stores that have the glass mirrors set at angles above the check out (normally they are older stores). Yes, there are people behind the glass.
