The first night I thought it was a fluke, the second night I thought it was a fluke too…and the third…but after the fourth morning of waking up with a clear head, rested body and great attitude – I know now that it isn’t a fluke. I recently started trying out a new combo of Young Living Essential Oils and it has made my already good sleep even better!! It’s now been four weeks straight of waking up this way and really it’s one of those things that I didn’t even realize I was missing until now. Here was my previous morning routine:
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… Snooze
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep… “8:30!?!?! UGH…it feels like 5am…ugggghhhh”
Drag myself out of bed…
“So what’s on the docket for today?” “Uggghhhhhhh”
…and it would continue along those lines for the first couple hours of the day. Can you relate?
Now, here is how the past couple of weeks have been:
Somewhere between 6:00am and 7:00am….
“Goooooooood Moooorning world!”
“Oh my, I must have overslept”
“Wow…only 6:00am? It feels like I’ve been sleeping forever! My alarm hasn’t even gone off!”
That’s when I usually notice that the sun is shining and the birds are chirping (I know that sounds a tad corny, but I’m serious! :)) “So what do I get to do today?” “Woohooo! Let’s get started!!!”
…and again it continues along those lines all morning long…and it’s wonderful. I’ve always said that I wish I could have an IV of coffee that just automatically starts a few minutes before I need to get up. Now I don’t even feel the need to have coffee! Of course I’m not the worlds biggest coffee drinker to begin with, but I still think that says a lot about how much the the oil diffusing is helping.
Sleepy Time Essential Oil Recipe
The awesome thing about this recipe is that you only need to use two of your Young Living Oils to make it – it’s super simple! Just take your diffuser and…
Add 3-4 drops of Young Living Lavender Oil (included in the Premium Starter Kit)
Add 3-4 drops of Young Living Peace & Calming (included in the Premium Starter Kit)
Then turn your diffuser on and enjoy the wonderful smell!
That’s it! Sometimes I’ll start this about an hour before going to bed and other times I’ll run the diffuser on my nightstand until it runs out.

I am curious. I know there are lots of combinations out there to make you go to sleep but are there ones to make you wake up? I am supposed to get up at 5:00am. I oversleep every morning. Is there one that can help me wake up on time? Or one that can help me not be in that deep sleep where I don’t hear my alarm go off?

Hi Stormie~ I love diffusing peppermint and/or lemon in the mornings to help me wake up and get ready to go!

Himalayan Salt inhalers work so good for this. My niece has bad asthma and this worked for her. 10 mins is all she does. You can get them on line, I have seen them at sprouts. There is also the salt rooms. There is one in Boulder.
