UPDATE: I went to my local PetSmart and got 2 bags of the $6 Science Diet Food, 2 of the $3 Dog Treats and was able to apply the overage on cat food that we needed! My cashier took my coupons first, and then scanned my PetPerks card but I don’t know if that made a difference or not.
PetSmart has Hill’s Science Diet Dog Food 4-5 pound bags on sale for only $6 for their President’s Day weekend sale! This alone is a good price, however there is also a $8/1 coupon available for any size bag of Science Diet dog food to allow you to snag it for FREE! You will need to sign up through Hill’s website in order to get these coupons. This sale runs through Monday, 2/20.
Please note that you do need to be a Pet Perks member to get in on this deal. If you are not already a member you can sign up for free in the store. Also I am not sure if PetSmart will allow you to apply the overage to another product or adjust it down, so you may want to ask.
Here is your scenario:
Buy (1) Science Diet Dog Food 4-5 pound bag $6 (make sure to show your PetPerks Card to get this sale price)
–$8/1 Science Diet Dog Food
=FREE!
Also keep an eye out for Science Diet Dog Treats 7.1–14.1 oz. on sale for $3. One of the coupons that will print out will be a $3/1 3 oz or larger bag of Science Diet Canine treats to allow you to snag some treats for FREE as well!
Don’t forget even if you don’t have a dog, these make great donation items!
(Thanks Hip2Save!)

🙁 Am I the only one that can’t get this coupon? The website keeps telling me your request cannot be completed.

I seem to always have trouble with this one too. I was able to get it a long time ago though…so maybe it has to do with printing it in the past?

I just tried it also, and says it isn’t available, even though the website advertises the coupons on the front of their web page 🙁

In Castle Rock purchased (4) 4.5lb bags of food (2) large snack bags of treats and (1) greenie chew thing. I used (2) $8 q’s, (2) $3 q’s, (2) $3 off treats q and (1) free greenie chew thing that I received in a Petsmart email this week. Total should have been $35.06 my OOP was $4.57 ($2.00 +$2.57 tax). LOVE good deals!

I live in Grand Junction and was able to use the $8.00 coupon and use the overage on an extra bag. I had 3 coupons and was able to get 4 bags of dog food. I also used the coupon for 3 cans of FREE with the purchase of Hill’s Science Diet dry dog food (sorry I don’t remember when/where the coupon came from but was one that I clipped from the weekly newspaper I get). So with 3 of the 8.00 coupons and 4 of the FREE canned food coupons I was able to get 4 bags of dry dog food and 12 cans of canned dog food for free. Then in a separate transaction (because there is a limit on how many coupons you can use at once…our here in GJ was 8) I was able to use the dog treat coupons and get the dog treats for $.50 each. Great deal!!! Thanks so much for the heads up!!!

I live in GJ (well Mack) but forgot to go today after church, but plan on going tomorrow when I go back in town. Were there very many bags left. I have 2 dogs and would love to get this for them.

Has anyone tried this in Castle Rock? Just wondering if they allow the overage here? If the overage is being allowed then you could easily pick up another same size bag and use the smaller $3.00 q.

Jacque,
I did my shop in Littleton, at the PetSmart off of Kipling and C-470. She scanned my Perks Card first, then all the dog food so I don’t think the order makes a difference! I didn’t say a word about the coupon being more than the dog food, and I didn’t get a single beep!!! And good call on the extra $3 Q on the extra bags…I didn’t even think of that! Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Just got back from my PetSmart! I had 6 $8 coupons and 6 $3 coupons. My store actually gave me the overage so I ended up getting 8 bags of dog food and 6 bags of treats for $3.50 which was all tax!! Wooohooo!!

On mine, they adjusted the coupon down, but what the heck, still got it for FREE!
