Happy Tuesday friends! Buuurrrrr! It’s cold here in Colorado…how is the weather by you today?
1. I tend to find something I like for breakfast and then stick to it for a while. Lately my thing has been homemade oatmeal with fresh fruit. I love that I can switch it up whenever I want just by changing out the fruit and the homemade oatmeal mix is something I can make in advance. Recipe coming soon! 🙂
2. Although I know we need the moisture I selfishly am really looking forward to warmer weather here in Colorado. I’m over the snow, have skied my heart out this winter and sincerely how we don’t just end up skipping spring all together.
3. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 10:17. What’s yours?

I do that with breakfasts, too — eat the same thing nearly every day until I get sick of it and move on to something new. I’m currently into Honey Nut Cheerios with bananas on top.

1.) 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 It reminds me to examine how I feel about others so that I will treat them better and to examine how they treat me, so that I can define fair boundaries.
2.) I’m in love with my gardens and am waiting for Spring with such longing that I’m literally becoming depressed with this weather.
3.) I can’t stand how the people who make fun of me for couponing and living frugally are the same people who want me to take care of them when they can’t make ends meet. >:\

And by the way, I love this idea Jennie!

Thanks Sharon! 🙂

I love how you pointed out how that verse can be used to define fair boundaries! I think that sometimes as Christians we tend to only look at that list as a measure of how many things we are failing at each day/week/month/year. I am pretty terrible at setting boundaries and often feel guilty for doing so/having done so – it’s something I’ve been working on for a long time and I’ve certainly not arrived yet! 😉
Also, you wouldn’t believe how often I hear number three. I’d be interested to hear if anyone has a good tip or two on how to deal with that type of friend/neighbor/family member.

I also make a homemade oatmeal, and add greek yogurt (and fruit) instead of milk.
One favorite scripture verse comes from Hebrews 12:1-2…..”let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” I used this as my best friend’s battle verse when she learned she, for the third time, had cancer. She went to be with her Lord in 2007….a wonderful witness to the power of God!!!

Greek yogurt huh?! I’ll have to try that out! 🙂 Love that verse, especially this part…who for the joy set before Him endured the cross. If Jesus endured the cross for me I can certainly deal with the disappointments of life. 🙂
