Here is the last edition of Getting to Know you for the week! I’ve been having a lot of fun with this…how about you?!
1. I was a bit if a high maintenance teenager back in the day. Not only did I insist on using a brand new towel every single time I showered, but I also would spend hours (yes – literally hours on my hair before going to school each morning. I’m making up for that now by sporting leggings and a sweatshirt most days, so if you ever bump into me in the store and I look like I took about five minuets to get ready for the day, now you know why!
2. I’m originally from the Midwest and the thing I miss most other than my family are the thunderstorms. There is just nothing else like them! I’m a bit of a weather freak and would totally be a storm chaser if the opportunity arose! 🙂
3. To prevent my three dogs from taking over my bed each night I rotate them one by one. The others take on guard dog duty for the evening.

I missed a couple of posts. I am from Illinois, too. I miss fireflies and colorful banks of fall trees along the roadway.

I’m also originally from the midwest (Illinois)…miss those fireflies and harvesting berries, apples and pumpkins at local farms….but don’t miss the humidity!!!

Totally agree on the humditty, but boy does my hair love it when I go back there 🙂
When I moved out here in ’98, there were hail storms like clockwork, now not so much. I love a good thunderstorm but the hail, hail no.
My three wee fuzzballs would not accept a rotation. Heckamus, if it weren’t for the three of them in their sleeping spots, I’d have to raise my thermostat. Nothing like the warmth of a fuzzy! Wait, warm fuzzies, had a science teacher that raved about those. Gads, did something from school actually stick in my craw?

I have 2 dogs one is a sweetheart pitbull and the other is a weiner dog/pitbull mix. Yes she looks just as weird as she sounds. We also have a Beta fish named Berry (my 2yr old named him because he reminded him of jelly)

Our family has two cats: Smokey & Bandit, two fish: Gil (a blue gill caught in the family pond) and Koi Salmons, ( a koi mistaken for a goldfish and named after the superintendent of our school – Coy Samons) and three hermit crabs but I don’t recall all the names the kids picked out for them. Oh, and there are, ahem, a few outside cats that have adopted us: Trey, Snuggles, Lancelot, and Priscilla (whose first name was Percival until we realized he was a she and the reason for that may lead to the need for some more names….)
