Yikes! With all of today’s awesome deals I almost forgot to post Getting to Know You Edition 4!
1. When I was little my Mom tells me that I used to crawl up on the counter top and eat sticks of butter. Lovely right?! Thank goodness I kicked that habit before too long…I would have ended up on an episode of My Strange Addiction.
2. I love cooking, but when I do it I really like simple, uncomplicated recipes as opposed to those that require a bunch of ingredients that I’ve never heard of.
3. I know how important drinking water is, but I seriously stink at it! To help a little I’ve started drinking green tea throughout the day…at least it’s something!

I always remember a few lines of this but I swear I learned it from Bozo the clown. Grand Prize Game anyone?
Betty Botter had some butter,
“But,” she said, “this butter’s bitter.
If I bake this bitter butter,
It would make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter,
That would make my batter better.”
So she bought a bit of butter –
Better than her bitter butter –
And she baked it in her batter;
And the batter was not bitter.
So ’twas better Betty Botter
Bought a bit of better butter.

Hahaha! Love it!

I have a daughter that used to do the exact same thing. She would climb onto the counters and eat it and then rub it all over her legs and arms. Let me tell you that was NOT a fun mess to clean up.
Jennie says
Hahaha! I bet! 🙂

On the water thing…..I’m so with you on that. Don’t know if I mentioned this before, but to help intake, I add some frozen mixed berries to the water, scrunch em with a spoon to release their purple pink color…somehow the color adds some desirability to what is normally a “blah” beverage….letting it sit out in the sunshine for a few minutes releases some berry flavor as well…

I had a dog named sheila she looked like a puppy black lab but never got big and she would eat the hold to of country crock butter. Seriously if u left it on the counter and took a shower it would be gone! She ate at least 2 tubs! I love love cooking but found I just dont have time anymore. I hate when a recipe calls for an ingredient thats hard to find or expensive and you just know you wont know what to do with the rest of it.

So FUNNY on the butter eating! Just the other day my husband told my foster son to get a cheese stick. he grabbed a butter cube & said “here it is!” Um…..no!
And that show “My Strange Addiction,” – it’s always nice to know that there are other people in the world out there stranger than my own family ;O)

Sounds like you are not alone in the butter eating. Not sure if I ever did that, but each of my kids seems to have gone through a stage (or is currently going through) of eating the margarine (I try to keep the butter out of their reach because it costs so much more!). I did have a cat when I was younger that would get up on the table and lick the stick of butter!

1. Ha! My aunt did that when she was little and she says she “foundered” herself on butter for a loooooong time. I think she got over it…
2. Ditto – although I do try and find a few special ingredients if it’s one of Ellie Kreiger’s recipes.
3. Ditto (I’ve found a little chocolate helps to finish the green tea 😉

Garlic stuffed olives are a favorite of mine, think I’ll pass on the butter! 🙂
I definately go for the simple recipes, too.
I fill my quart ‘water jug’ and add a splash of lemon juice. I think it’s much easier to drink than plain water.

Sticks of butter, too funny! When I was growing up, it ways always butter and I’ll admit, I’m still a butter purist. However, when I was a tween / teen I used to throw fissy hits about buying margarine. Just for the little tubs, they were so cute and would hold baubles.
