The number one thing that God asks of us is to love. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we are human it is often hard for us to understand what true love is.
The awesome thing is that God gave us a powerful example to help us understand….His love for us. God never loves us any less regardless of the choices we make. He always thinks the best of us. He always wants the best for us. He is our #1 fan!
God gave His only Son for us. For those of you who are parents…can you imagine doing that? Can you imagine sacrificing your child to save someone who has been unkind to you, hurt you, broke your heart?
Regardless of the challenges that you might be facing right now…small or big…you have a BIG Daddy up in heaven that LOVES you more than you could ever comprehend!

When I think of how God loves me in spite of the sinner that I am, I realize the kind of love I want to extend to others. Of course, I could only love that way in Christ.

That is my favorite verse. I’ve often wondered about God’s love. I know when we get to heaven the things I’ve wondered about won’t matter anymore. But, I really want to ask him, “Why?” Why love us wretched sinners? SO MUCH? I just don’t get it. But, I’m thankful. Very thankful.
