I recently came across Sarah Young’s daily devotional book called Jesus Calling and am absolutely in love with it. It is such a quick, but inspirational and wisdom filled read for every morning that truly prepares you for whatever adventures the day may hold. For this Faithful Friday I thought I’d share today’s devotional:
Come to Me when you are weak and weary. Rest snugly in My everlasting arms. I do no despise your weakness, My child. Actually it draws Me closer to you, because weakness stirs up My compassion – My yearning to help. Accept yourself in your weariness, knowing that I understand how difficult your journey has been.
Do not compare yourself with others, who seem to skip along their life-paths with ease. Their journeys have been different from yours, and I have gifted them with abundant energy. I have gifted you with fragility, providing opportunities for your spirit to blossom in My Presence. Accept this gift as a sacred treasure: delicate, yet glowing with brilliant Light. Rather than struggling to disguise or deny your weakness, allow Me to bless you richly through it.

Before I went to your blog today I prayed that God would speak to me. Thanks you so much for the encouragement and hope. God bless you as well.

Jennie, I not only value your coupon matchups and all the effort involved in keeping us informed of all the money-saving opportunities out there; but I so very greatly appreciate your conviction and stand for our Lord. I too have started the “Jesus Calling” devotionals. I have only downloaded the free “Lite” version so far but plan to download the full version app. Thank you again for reminding us each Friday how faithful our Lord is to us and how we in turn should be faithful to Him. God bless you, Jennie.
