Keep in mind that Ebates will only give you the $5 first time credit once your purchases reach $30 or more. Don’t assume you’ll automatically get that. I’m not an online shopper, and I ended up returning my merchandise and canceling my account because of their unclear terms.

Ebates is a “long term” money saver. I am not an internet shopper either, however, during Black Friday last year I cashed in on some great deals that Ebates made even better!
Also remember that you can buy large purchases through Ebates with the option of picking up at the store. (no shipping)
ie. Last December I ordered a vacuum through Ebates at Sears, and picked it up later that day in store. With the combination of the online price and my cash back through Ebates, I saved about $50 on a Hoover vacuum.
