Off topic question – have you heard any rumblings about Credit Karma dot com?
I’m looking for a reliable site that would give both the free credit reports and free score for a “newbie”.
Muchos Nachos!

I use credit karma all the time and absolutely love it! Its a great reference point for where you lie credit-wise. For your DEFINITE score though, your best option is to obtain a copy of your credit report from one of the three reporting agencies. 🙂 HTH

Ayup – I kept seeing the credit karma ads and I’m always a little reluctant to utilize something new when it comes to this kind of thing.
I’ve taken in a housemate and we’re trying to prepare her for getting her own place down the road. She’s never run her FICO scores so we want to do that to see where she stands numbers wise. I want to set her up on something that’s FREE (favorite word, ha!) – credit reports are free but those FICOs are usually where they get ya. I do believe it’s time to don the credit karma cammo and go a huntin’
Thanks muchly, Jamie!
