Many of you have been asking recently about if Ibotta App offers expire, so I’d like to take a moment to shed a little light on the matter. 🙂
First, you should know that all Ibotta offers do have an expiration date. To see an offer’s expiration date, follow these steps:
1. “Earn” the offer and click “Redeem”.
2. Select the store that you wish to use the offer at. If you’re not sure, don’t worry and just pick one because it will actually add it to all of them.
3. You will then be taken to your shopping list at the store you selected.
4. Look under each item in your list and you will see a “Redeem By” date.
Now, there is also something else very important that you need to know. Ibotta has made it clear on their Facebook page that offers have a redemption limit. This means that just like printable coupons that reach their print limit, Ibotta offers also have a limit that can cause them to be pulled down. The result is that sometimes offers will be taken down before they reach their redeem by date (even if you’ve already “earned” the offer).
What this means is that the better the offer, the faster it will be gone. So, what does this mean for you? My suggestion is that you submit your receipt as soon as possible after you purchase an item. This will hopefully prevent an offer from reaching its limit before
I’ll also add that Ibotta is a fairly new app and it is growing in popularity very quickly, so it seems like they are learning as they go and also making changes as they see the need. We will continue to keep you updated on the changes as they release the details.
If you are brand new to Ibotta, make sure to also check out our post on how Ibotta works.

I wouldn’t waste my time on this app. I have spent a lot of wasted time going back & forth with the support center. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, changed all these settings, and I’m done with it. I can take the money I’ve made thus far and kiss it goodbye I guess!

Is anyone having trouble with uploading their receipts? I uploaded 3 today. All 3 were readable when I took the pictures, but were all blurred when I went in to double check the pictures. Ibotta was unable to process any of the 3. Very disappointed here. I hope there is a way to get this resolved. Its a really cool app.

Hi Natalie, thanks for the update, b/c i am having same problem, emailed Ibotta and no solution. Can you where on your FB settings you saw a place to click “on.” I can’t seem to find it. Thank u!!!

I finally got this figured out. I thought I would share just in case someone else has the same problem. I had to go into my FB settings and click “on” specifically for the Ibotta app to allow it to run.

Just went to their website and saw this:
What’s New in Version 1.1.1
• Bug fixes including a fix for some users that are unable to post to Facebook
That’s me. Apparently, there is a bigger problem. I’ll check into what version I have on my FB app and Ibotta app. May be something there. If not, I’ll contact support as you suggested. Thanks so much!!

I do. I just did an update on it, but that didn’t change things. When I click on “Facebook” from Ibotta “settings”, it still says “You are not logged in to Facebook. Sign in below.” I click “Log in with Facebook” and it still tells me “Facebook access denied…”.

Hm. I’m all out of ideas. I would try e-mailing [email protected] to see if they can help. Hopefully they will be able to get it working for you!
Natalie says
That’s what I mean. When I try the “Settings” in the Ibotta app and “Log in with Facebook”, it will say “verifying” then the whole “Facebook access denied….” message. I’ve tried everything, but no success. That’s why I’m thinking that I must have initially set something up incorrectly when I downloaded the app.
Jennie says
Do you have the Facebook App in your phone?
Natalie says
Need help. I loaded the Ibotta app on my iPhone 1 1/2 weeks ago. I don’t know if I set it up incorrectly from the start. My problem is that when I go to get an offer that involves FB, it says “unable to post”. Therefore, I am unable to take advantage of any offers that involve FB. When I go to settings, click on FB, and try to Log in with FB, it say “Facebook access denied. Please check that Ibotta is enabled for Facebook and try again. (Code: 2)”. How do I do that? Where do I go? I’ve tried everything that I know. Can someone help me figure out how to add FB to my Ibotta app? Thanks!
Jennie says
Try going to “Settings” and then “Facebook” and “Log in with Facebook”. Does that work for you?
Jennie says
And that is the “Settings” in the Ibotta App…not the “Settings” for your phone.

Couple of things I’ve discovered. 1)App not loading all stores on iPod Touch (same problem on all 4th gen iPods and iPad2) 2) If you signed up on Friday but did so after 12 noon PST you won’t get your $5 bonus. 3) If you don’t have or want to share on Facebook…you won’t be able to get some of the credit for the offer…example: you may only be able to get 50 cents of the available dollar rebate. So far I’m not very impressed with this service.

I love the app. It is so much to have yet another opportunity to save and deals to stack! Thanks for taking the time to break this down for us Jennie! We apprecaite you so much! Also, just a tip – I will usually post on FB and then delete it right away.
