As we are all working on pulling together our Christmas lists, I think many of us struggle with what to buy for the men in our lives. Alyssa put in well in the comment section of the last post:
“If they need or want something they go buy it, leaving everyone else with nothing to ever get them.”
I don’t know about you, but I am right there with her. Guys in general are just hard to buy gifts for in my opinion. So with that said, I thought we could brainstorm together some gift ideas for the guys in our lives. If you would like to participate, just leave a comment on this post telling the rest of us a little bit about what you’re looking for and the rest of us will try to help with some ideas! If you already have the guy gifts on your list checked off, please feel free to share those ideas too!

I am a nurse and think your Hubby would love a pair of Crocs RX, if he would wear them, I love them! Super comfy since you are on your feet all day, and you can always get a good deal on Crocs 😉

Thanks for the tip Janel. 😉

A friend graduated from nursing school a few years ago, and one of the things on her “wish list” was a good stethoscope….

I like to get my guy “experiences” rather than things. For example, some of the great packages we see here for dining, movies, etc. make nice “date gifts.” At Christmas I do also buy him a few clothing items, but that’s not because he loves the clothes but because he hates to shop for himself. Also he likes new belts and wallets.

Great ideas Elizabeth!

as a guy…you can never have too many screw drivers phillips and flat…this works for small flash lights too….if you want us to smell good…buy what you like…and “encourage” us when we put it on, linger around around us and tell is we smell good..and hug us …crap like that. 🙂 …we are really simple….as for ‘outfits’…we don’t really care…we put stuff on because you like it and we don’t fell stupid in it…favorate sport team stuff is always good…stuff for our hobbies we don’t have ( golf balls, tees, glove) ( stuff to make fishing easer) go to the local shops and ask what is really cool, but guys won’t buy for them self. ( it works at sears tool department too )

Guys are SO hard! Luckily, my hubby has a “wish list.” He’s very frugal, so I’m lucky that he isn’t one of those that goes out and buys what he needs (usually, anyway). He mostly has books on CD, music, video games, and clothes on his list. I get my Dad pictures of the grandkids or Sudoku games, which he loves. My father-n-law gets a Lord of the Rings calendar and then I think we’re going to do gift certificates for him this year!
My brother is a doctor, so that’s kinda like nursing. We bought him a membership to an emergency doctor’s association, and with it he gets a magazine, a downloadable research forum on his iPod, and job resources information. It’s been invaluable to him! Just an idea…
