When my husband and I were browsing the playard section of Babies R Us, I immediately was drawn to the quality of the Chicco Lullaby Baby Playard.
We have our Lullaby Playard in our living room and it has been such a blessing to have a space to change Arietti as well as a space for her to take naps during the day. I refer to our Lullaby Playard as the “downstairs nursery” as it has basically a mini version of everything which our full nursery upstairs!
As a new mama, I’m thankful that I don’t have to take her up and down the stairs all day for diaper changes and napping.
Features I Love
A Playard That Grows with Baby
The Lullaby Playard has three different stages that grow along with baby. They include:
Newborn Stage: Quilted, angled napper provides a cozy environment for baby’s first naps, and folds easily for storage
Infant Stage: Easy-install bassinet with deluxe, quilted mattress provides a comfortable space to rest and relax during baby’s first months
Toddler Stage: Extra-large playard area provides plenty of room for toddlers during playtime at home or away!
We are still currently in the newborn stage and excited that transitioning to the infant stage will be super easy with simply snapping off the angled napper.
Detachable Changer
The detachable changer is so convenient and one of my very favorite features! I love that it is easy to clean and the storage pockets on the side are perfect for storing diapers and wipes without having them clutter up our living space. We’ve cleaned up more than a few “accidents” on this changer and it’s so easy to wipe messes right up.
The changer snaps on and off easily and will accommodate little ones up to 25lbs.
Angled Napper
The angled napper on the Lullaby Playard is where Arietti has napped during the day since we brought her home from the hospital. It was actually the first surface we set her down on after getting her out of her carseat and right away I knew we would be using it a long as I loved having her in sight.
She has always been so comfortable with the slightly angled sleeping area and soft fabric liner.
There is a detachable mobile that goes over the napper and although it doesn’t rotate on it’s own baby girl loves to stare at the little bears as she drifts off to sleep.
The napper can be used for babies up to 15lbs.
Overall Impression
Overall I’m so glad that we went with the Lullaby Playard. It is perfect for having a space to care for Arietti on our first floor and I’m thankful that we will be using it for many more months and years as we use the different stages to suit her changing needs.
