Amazon has unveiled a brand new lower-priced Kindle line-up and they’ve also launched the ultra-cool Kindle Fire (only $199)! Here is the scoop on the new products:
New Faster, Lighter Basic Kindles:
6″ Kindle withWi-Fi was $114 – now $79 *Not a keyboard
6″ Kindle with Wi-Fi was $139 – now $99
6″ Kindle + Built in 3G Internet was $179 – now $139
New Line of Kindle Touch (available for pre-order with a Novembr 21st release date):
6″ Kindle Touch with Wi-Fi – $99
6″ Kindle Touch + Built in 3G Internet – $149
NEW Kindle Fire (available for pre-order with a Novembr 15th release date):
The Kindle Fire (just $199) is being called a Kindle Tablet becuase it is basically a 7″ tablet that will allow you to check e-mail, read e-books, download digital music and video games and watch movies and TV shows.
Display: 7″ Vibrant Color IPS
Content: 18 million movies, TV shows, apps, games, songs, books, newspapers, audiobooks, magazines, and docs
Web Browser: Amazon Silk (cloud-accelerated browser)
Storage: 8GB for 80 apps + 10 movies, or 800 songs, or 6,000 books. Unlimited Cloud Storage for Amazon Content
Battery Life: 8 hours continuous reading or 7.5 hours video playback
