Well, here we are…theΒ 30 Day ShredΒ day 5! I actually missed a day on day 3, so I decided to step it up to level 2 yesterday for a little bit more of a challenge! π It was, well…interesting to say the least…but I made it through!
Here are some more lessons from this little workout adventure:
1. If you miss a day…it’s ok! Keep going!
2. Don’t be afraid to try the next level.
3. If you do not own hand weights, use household objects like soup cans.
4. Stay hydrated throughout the day.

I made it through the entire level 1 workout today without stopping for the first time today. I’m already down 2+ pounds (official weigh day is Friday) and my pants feel slightly looser (that could be because I really want to to feel that way.) Jillian and I are repairing our friendship, I don’t hate her like I did the first few days. I have a feeling when I go to level 2, I won’t like her again.

I did level 2 today. I really liked the obligue plank twists. I was disappointed that my abs weren’t sore after level 1 so I’m hoping level 2 gave them more of a workout. No pain, no gain – right?!

I did SHRED on days 3 & 4 and will keep going! Yesterday my 9 month old crawled on me while I was on the floor so I lifted her as weights instead of the other weights I had π

I am soooooo glad that I saw your post on Facebook today about this π I guess I missed your others somehow (I did go back and read them though). I just ordered me a copy from Amazon using some of my Swagbucks Amazon gift cards so I will be joining you on Monday. I have at least 50 pounds (would like 75 overall I think, but will aim for 50 and see how I feel there) that I need to drop. I have been a stay-at-home mom since our twin boys were born in Oct 2007 and my activity level has disappeared somewhere. So my biggest (yes, pun intended) 2011 goal is to drop those 50 pounds before New Year 2012 π

Too funny! At least they don’t have the same birthday; that would be a little too weird LOL!!! I can use all of the encouragement I can get π
