Phew! Sure it might be 10:00pm at night, but I made it through the 30 Day Shred day 2…and that was after three and a half hours of volleyball! 🙂 Here are the lessons that I learned today:
1. Don’t drink half a gallon of water before working out…you’ll feel like throwing up for half the workout.
2. Regardless of the exercise you are doing (arms, legs, etc.) you should always focus on keeping your abs tight. It not only helps to strengthen your core, but also helps tremendously by supporting your body while performing the exercise and thus preventing injury.
3. Jillian and I are at least on talking terms today. It helps to yell at the TV when it gets hard…and might even provide a little entertainment for your family too.
4. If you are like me and have a hard time drinking enough water try adding a little lemon to it.
I forgot to remind you all yesterday to remember to take your starting stats. I weighted myself and measured the following:
Waist
Hips
Butt
Right and Left Thigh
Right and Left Calf
Right and Left Arm
How did your day 2 go? Were you sore form day 1? Did you learn anything on day 2?

Today was my 1st day (my body believes God’s day of rest is so fabulous it should extend to the whole weekend). I haven’t worked out since the kids’ Christmas vacation started a couple weeks ago so it was great to get back to it and start burning off the eggnog calories.
