My favorite type of holiday recipes can be summed up in just two words: simple and delicious. This dessert perfectly fits the bill and then some! If you’ve got some last minute guests coming over this holiday season, these are so easy to throw together.

Graham Cracker Delights

Ingredients

1 Box of Graham Crackers (non sugared)
1 Cup Pecans
1 Cup Shredded Sweetened Coconut 
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
2.Line bottom and sides of a jelly roll pan with aluminum foil.
3. Cover entire bottom of pan with graham crackers. Try to fit them in there as tightly as possible (in one layer). You may need to use parts of some crackers to cover the entire space.
4. Evenly sprinkle pecans and coconut over top of graham crackers.
5. Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan. Bring to a boil, siring constantly. Boil for 3 minutes.
6. Remove butter and brown sugar mixture from heat and pour over graham crackers. 
7. Bake in oven for 10 minutes.
8. Remove from oven. Once cool, remove bars by row of grahams and break into bit size pieces.

  79. My favorite Christmas treat is peanut butter bon bons… this year we didn’t make them into bars- we made them as bar cookies instead- holy cow, yummy and now easy too!

  101. My favorite and easy holiday treat is called Grasshoppers. Most people know this treat as haystacks, but my family always calls this butterscotch, chow mein noodle, peanut treat Grasshoppers…look closely and you can see the legs and heads. I always teased my daughter by saying I went out in the yard to catch the grasshoppers to make these treats!

  148. Favorite holiday treat – sweet pecans (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, maple syrup, butter, pecans)!!!!! I have to give them away or I would eat them by the handfulls!!!!

  173. Alton Brown’s peanut butter fudge is my favorite. Takes less than 10 minutes to make and disappears at a record pace, too!

  179. My favorite Holiday treat is butter toffee. Very simple…1 c.sugar, 2sticks butter, 1T. corn syrup cooked to 290 degrees. Add 1/2 cup coarse pecans, let set up. Sprinkle 1/2 cups chocolate chips and let melt. Spread chocolate and sprinkle with fine chopped pecans. When its cool, break in prices and enjoy. Yum!
